A Special Romance — A Film by Chance
Kuala Lumpur — 1 January 2023, 11:11 pm
He was working late at his desk. She was on‑call at the hospital. Two people grinding through the same city on the same hours — both somehow free on New Year's Day for their first date.
When New Year's Day finally came, they met for the first time. A date at 11:11 pm — the kind of detail you don't notice until later, when it suddenly matters.
Both nervous. Both Lim.
(Yes, they checked. No, no common ancestors. Phew.)
The First Date That Wouldn't End
What was meant to be one drink became a long drive around the city with no real destination. Then KLCC Sky Bar, the city stretched out below them. Then mamak — because the night refused to be over.
His heart racing (but she said not hers!). Conversation easy. By the time they said goodnight, they had already started a list that would never stop growing — favourite foods in common, identical love language scores, even matching allergies.
The Parallels
You know it's something when sushi dinners turn into mind‑reading exercises. When you can finish each other's KFC nugget orders. When Cupid by Fifty Fifty plays and you both look up.
Every good rom‑com has its twist — long distance was always going to be part of the story. They went anyway.
The Proposal — Thailand
No script. No big production. Just a beach villa, a question, and a shocked yes.

You're invited to the final scene.
